Yes this would be nice. However, our hypervisor LXD doesn't really support that - or well, it does but it's really cumbersome to do so as there are particular requirements to the images themselves. Also, support would be a nightmare on this. I'll leave this as under review, but don't count on us implementing this in the foreseeable future.
